| ASUS ZenFone 3 Laser and Max Phones |
|
ASUS’s ZenFone 3 family just keeps expanding but not many people will mind. The latest phones in this series are dubbed ZenFone 3 Laser and ZenFone 3 Max and focus on imaging and battery life. Based on the provided specs only a basic caricature can be drawn, however.
ZenFone 3 Laser
The ZenFone 3 Laser improves the existing camera of the ZenFone 3 with a new 13 MP Sony PixelMaster 3.0 IMX214 sensor. As the name indicates, it adds second-generation laser autofocus with 0.03 sec focus speed, electronic image stabilization and a colour correction sensor.
Other than that, you get a 7.9mm metal body and a 5.5-inch FHD (1080 x 1920) display on the front with 2.5D curved glass. There’s a fingerprint scanner on the back with 0.2 sec response time, 4 GB worth RAM and 32 GB storage.
Pricing is set at around $270 in Vietnam and that makes for quite a formidable phone, despite not knowing the entire specs.

Max
The ZenFone 3 Max improves the battery capacity of the phone, instead offering a 4100 mAh battery, which is however smaller than the 5000 mAh of its successor.
It comes with a 5.2” IPS LCD on the front with the same fingerprint scanner around the back. Underneath, you have 3 GB RAM and a 32 GB internal storage, on top of which is metallic build. Pricing is set at around $200 which makes it highly alluring.
Interestingly, ASUS is mum on important details such as the processor breed but we are guessing that’s only a matter of time.
