| Army chief orders counter-terror operations in Punjab |

On the directions of Army chief General Raheel Sharif the military and paramilitary Rangers launched joint overnight raids against militants in central and southern regions of Punjab, arresting dozens of terror suspects and their facilitators in response to the suicide bomb attack at a Lahore park crowded with families.
