| BJP suffers setback, Congress wins 8 of 11 urban bodies |
|
The ruling BJP in Chhattisgarh suffered a setback after the Congress emerged victorious in eight out of 11 urban bodies in the civic polls, results of which were declared. These urban bodies include one municipal corporation, four municipal councils and six nagar panchayats. In the previous polls to these 11 urban bodies, seven seats went to the BJP and the rest to the Congress.
