| Golen Gol venture begins power age |
|
The Golen Gol hydropower venture began power age on Wednesday, denoting another historic point as Pakistan forcefully adds energy to the national framework to dispense with stack shedding.
Because of the task, Chitral has now begun getting genuinely necessary power on a trial premise, which is a critical advance towards giving a steady supply of power to the city and adjoining zones.
The leader will formally introduce the task amid the principal seven day stretch of February. Just the principal unit of 36MW was put into operation on Wednesday, which would give power three times more than the necessities of Chitral city. The surplus vitality will be added to the national network.
Amid his visit to the venture site, Wapda Chairman Muzammil Hussain complimented the undertaking experts and communicated trust that the power task will introduce another time of advance and thriving. The executive was of the view that it will balance out the economy by giving ease and condition well disposed power to the national lattice.
The undertaking has been built on Golen Gol – a tributary of River Mastuj – close Chitral. The introduced age limit of the undertaking is 108MW with three producing units – each of them with a limit of 36MW.
The primary unit has been finished, while the second and the third unit will be dispatched in March and May 2018, individually. The undertaking will give 436 million units of power to the national lattice consistently. Advantages of the venture have been evaluated at Rs3.7 billion for every annum.
