| Government aiming to make the grower comfortable |
|
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said agriculture is the backbone of the country’s economy. He said the government is taking steps to provide support to this important sector. He was chairing a meeting regarding procurement of Basmati rice. The Prime Minister expressed concern over the falling price of Basmati rice due to international factors and directed officials to submit a proposal for providing suitable subsidy.
