| MQM activist Chaudhary Shujaat sentenced 19 years in jail |
|
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) of Karachi has sentenced an activist of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to jail for 19 years. Chaudhry Shujaat, the convicted MQM activist, was charged with criminal possession of weapons and explosive material. Last year the government launched a major crackdown against criminal elements in the largest city of the country.
