| Sri Lanka's Rajapaksa loses minority support ahead of polls |
|
Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa may have trouble getting re-elected. Political parties mainly representing Sri Lanka's minority Tamils and Muslims account for a quarter of the total vote. They have said they will back Rajapaksa's challenger in a January 8th presidential poll.
